Instagram Video Led To The Arrest of Wanted Fugitive

Police in the United States has arrested Christopher Ricardo Gonzalez, through his Instagram post.

Gonzalez was wanted for murder and arm robbery and has evaded arrest until he gave his location away through his Instagram post.

Instagram has become more popular after they introduced the new video story post. With this new development, you can post a live video, which can be viewed by your followers on the platform anytime they go to your page. And while posting these video, Instagram through GPS align your location to those with the same place you are posting the video.

WHY FACEBOOK MARKETING IS NO 1

MAKE MONEY DOING ANYTHING ONLINE

However, it seems Gonzalez was unaware of this as he decided to share videos on Instagram with friends and family. The video gave his location away to the police as they swooped in for his arrest. The police said he tried to escaped arrest but hit his car on a pole and was apprehended.

The police, however, refused to share details of the content of the video, as they said they are still investigating, and the content will be part of the evidence.

This is not the first case Instagram video had helped the United States police in its investigation, as they had earlier arrested an accident, as the victim's sister has an Instagram Video of how the incident occurred.

Social media platforms can be as useful to the police in solving a crime as it is used for socializing.
