The Africa Cup of Nation, AFCON is a football tournament competition that sees Africa nations compete for who will be King of Africa Football.
The first tournament in 1957 was hosted in Sudan and won by the Pharaoh of Egypt and the Egyptians remain the team to have won the AFCON tournament more with six titles to their name and have qualified for the tournament a record 22 times.
Nigeria has won the AFCON three times and have qualified 17 times for the tournament and have the third best records in terms of games won in Africa cup of Nations.
