where are all the good news

At times one really feel frustrated watching news on tv, it seems as they are no good news, just bad and negative news. For the past week CNN had reported the bush fire in Australia, to the plane crash in New York to the president of Venezuela, Chavez trying to monopolize power to himself. Well we all know that good news travel faster than bad news and as a friend of mine said when we were discussing about this yesterday good news is no news. We don’t feel drawn to good news, but when it is a tragedy all the world stand still to listen. What I think is that news station should put forth programmer that airing positive news like development, election victory like the one in Ghana. Time should be devoted to bring positive news on air so that they can help bring create a positive atmosphere

the reward of persistence

man woke up early in order to have his morning devotion (prayer) in the (Church). He got dressed set on his way to the Lord's house (church). On his way to the church, the man fell and his clothes got dirty. He got up, brushed himself off, and headed home. At home, he changed his clothes, and was, again, on his way to the Lord's house. On his way to the church, he fell again and at the same=2 0spot! He, again, got up, brushed himself off and headed home. At home he, once again, changed his clothes and was on his way to the Lord's house (church). On his way to the house of God (church), he met a man holding a lamp. He asked the man of his identity and the man replied 'I saw you fall twice on your way to the house of God, so I brought a lamp so I can light your way. The first man thanked him profusely and the two were on their way to the house of God. Once at the house of God, the first man asked the man with the lamp to come in and pray with him. The second man refused. The first man asked him a couple more times and, again, the answer was the same. The first man asked him why he did not wish to come in and pray. The man replied, 'I am Satan'. The man was shocked at this reply. Satan went on to explain, 'I saw you on your way to the house of God and it was I who made you fall. When you went home, cleaned yourself and went back on your way to the house of God, God forgave all of your sins. I made you fall a second time, and even that did not encourage you to stay home, but rather, you went back on your way to Church. Because of that, God forgave all the sins of the people of your household.. I was afraid if I made you fall one more time, then God will forgive the sins of the people of your village, so I made sure that you reached the house of God safely. ' So do not let Satan benefit from his actions. Do not put off the good you intended to do as you never know how much reward you might receive from the hardships you encounter while trying to achieve that good. For your righteousness can save your family and nation at large. Do this and see the victory of the Lord.

as a man thinketh

Do you believe that you are what you think, that as you thought is that is how you are. And you can also change yourself by changing the way you think.
I read this book AS A MAN THINKETH by James Allen and it’s a real eye opener on our thinking process. It’s a book that I will advise everyone to read and I bet you will enjoy this book as well as be inspired. This book had helped me to realize that our thinking process had an effect on our life and can determine the life we live. It determines our happiness, our success, our health, wealth. Our thinking process is more powerful than we think and if directed properly, we can live a fulfilled, healthy, rich and wealthy life, and we can help change the world we live in.
The book throw more light on the aphorism “as a man thinketh in his heart, so he is”.
The book shows that what we have in our heart manifest in our outward behavior. A man who doeth evil has evil thought in his heart and the man who has evil thought will seek to do evil. The hearth is like a field, whatever is sowed and cultivated in this field, that’s what you reap, a man who harbors thought of negativity will always attract to himself negative things, while the man who harbor positive thought will attract positive things to himself..

You can get this book from any bookshop or you can download it for free on the net,

living life

Most time before I go to sleep, I usually take time to reflect, it can be on anything from what happen that day, on what I would like to do the next , just about anything that comes to my mind. When I am about to go to bed are one of the few times I have quite moment to myself, when I can have sometime to reflect.
Last night, my mind raced back to my first lecture in the university. I will always remember that lecture because my lecturer said something that day that really had me pondering. He said that life is made up of three stages - birth, living and death. Of these three stages we are only conscious of when we are living. As for birth, you surely can’t remember the first thing you saw or how you felt on that graceful day you came to this world. Then for death we surely can’t tell, not for now. So what we are really accountable for is how we live our life. We are not accountable for who our parents are, what religion we are born into or the place of our birth.
So I was pondering before I went to bed how I was living my life. I began to ask myself questions - was I living my life for me? Or was I living for people, doing what they expect me to do. Was I happy with what I am doing or I had let my passion slip away? How is my life affecting people around me? Do I make a positive impact on the people around me and my environment?
I believe we have one life and we should live it to the best we can, enjoying life the way we can, living life with passion and full of hope and we should have a positive impact on the people around us and our environment.

love has wing and can fly

Without you, life goes on
You can’t stop time,
But you have made it worthwhile.
You can’t change the weather,
But you have been my comfort.
You can’t change the imperfect world that we live in,
But thank God for people like you who made the imperfection worthwhile.
You are no super woman, you can’t save the world,
But you surely made a difference in my life.
Life may not be a bed of roses,
But with you life is a bliss.
You are no superstar,
But to me you are the only star shining.
You love is true,
As true as the sun rising in the morning.
You love is pure,
As pure as the smile of a baby.
Your love is certain,
As certain as the sun.
To have love you is to know what love really is.
And to have lost your love is to know what it feels like to be loved.
But thank God, I can say I know what true love is.

Love has wing and can fly. Love should not be thrown to wind, it might just fly away.

life is a just employer

Today I took time to reflect on what I posted last on my blog, that’s the difference between the poor and the rich. And I took a look at where I live to study the life of the rich and poor. I came up from my own perspective the difference between the poor and the rich
The rich not only work harder but they also work smarter. The rich are innovative, they move with the time(in this computer age, most of the poor people are not literate)
The rich are good at saving and investing.
the rich are idealistic
The rich are goal getter. They set goals and go for them.
The rich are not lazy. They don’t just sit around all day.
They seek expert advice on what ever venture they go into.
The rich are good risk taker.
The rich had belief in themselves
The rich don’t think impossible , they only see possibility
The rich are opportunist; they take advantage of any slight opportunity that comes their way.

For I have come to understand that life is a fair judge though it may dealt us different cards. But life gives to those who have the desire, passion, skills and have worked hard. Life may not have offer everyone the same chances, but it surely gave us a way out: for as a man makes his bed, so he shall lie on it and as a farmer sow his seed and tend his farm properly, so one day he will harvest and reap the fruit of his labor.
Life gives to those who are willing to work, who have the desire and passion to succeed and improve themselves.

I bargained with life for a penny
And life would pay me no more.
How ever I begged at evening
When I counted my scanty store

For life is a just employer,
He gives you what you ask
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.

I worked for a menial s hire,
Only to learn, dismayed,
That any wage I had ask of life,
Life would have willingly paid

the attitide of the rich and poor nations

To reflect and . . .act
The difference between the poor countries and the rich countries is not the age of the country.
This can be shown by countries like India and Egypt that are more than 2000 years old and are poor.
On the other hand, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand that are 150 years old are inexpresive, today are developed countries and are rich.
The difference between poor and rich countries does not reside in the available natural resource.
Japan has limited territory, 80% mountainous inadequate for agriculture and cattle raising, but this is the second world economy. The country is like an immense floating factory, importing raw materials from the whole world and exporting manufactured products.
Another sample is Switzerland, which does not plant Cocoa but has the best chocolate of the world. In its territory, they raise animals and plant the soil during four months per year. That enough they produce dairy products of the best quality. It is a small country that transmit an image of security, order and labor which made it the world’s strong safe.
Executive from rich countries who communicate with their counterparts in poor countries show that there is no significance difference in intellect.
Face or skin color are also not important. Immigrants labeled lazy in their country of origin are the productive power in rich European countries.
What is the difference then?
The difference is the attitude of the people framed along the years by the education and the culture.
On analyzing the behavior of the people are rich and developed countries. We find that the great majority follows the principle in their life
1) Ethics as a basic principle
2) Integrity
3) Responsibility
4) Respect of the law and rulers
5) Respect of the rights of other citizen
6) Work loving
7) Strive for saving and investments
8) Will of super action
9) Punctuality
In poor countries only a minority follow these basic rules of life.
We are not poor because we lack attitude.
We lack the will to comply with and teach functional principle of the rich and developed societies.
If you love your country, let the message circulate for a major quantity of people and reflect about this and change.
