Manchester United Dominance Coming To An End?

There is no club in the premiership with enough pedigree as Manchester United, but could we be seeing the end of their dominance in the English premiership.

Since the departure of their long time couch, Sir Alex Ferguson, Manchester United has been struggling to make it to the top four of the most prestigious league in the world, continuing with this season where it is likely they will come below fourth at the end of the season with their week to week performance. They have already be eliminated from the Champions league at the group stage after failing to make it to the Champions League the previous season under David Moyes.

The club had been unable to find their feet after the exit of Alex Ferguson who spend more than 25 years running the club and was the key to their dominance in the premiership, his handpicked successor David Moyes ran the club down to their lowest finish at 7th position before he was fired and the board decided to go for the experienced Luis Val Gaal, and after his first season when he took Manchester United back to the Champions League, many though it was a building process that will see the club bounce back to his glorious position as the pride in English football. But this season has been one of disappointment as the fans experienced the team fall short when they were expected to be delivering.

The fans are not happy with his not too enterprising lay back kind of football as it has seen the team dropped points in advantageous positions. The fans believe the team are not playing the Manchester United way and Van Gaal has been accused of being too cautious, not attacking enough and outdated.

Manchester United are yarning for the days of Alex Ferguson, and his attacking style of play, but too bad for them, he is gone and probably the Manchester United era of dominance has gone with him as well.

Destruction Is A Fast Process

I was on my way to church on a Sunday earlier this year when i ran into a commotion. The area was covered with ash laden smoke and the street full of people, some running away from the fire, some running towards it and some just staring, observing what is happening.

On a closer look, I saw a building was on fire, the whole story building was ablaze and was almost engulfing buildings close by.

As I gaped at the burning building , while others were trying to fight the fire pending arrival of the fire service, I was just pondering on how fast the destruction of a story building that took so much time to build was just razed in just a little time.

And that is how process of destruction move so fast, it takes time and much efforts to build but little time and less effort to destroy. A reputation, career, health or lifestyle can be destroyed in less time and effort it takes building them and in most cases these destruction are brought by our actions.

We have seen cases high profile people where their negative lifestyle had crumble their years of hard work and rob them of a fulfilling life.

The point while the process of building is slow, destruction is fast and we just have to watch out for factors that can bring about destruction of what we have built over the years.

Uefa Team Of 2015

UEFA named its Team Of The Year and as usual the two Spanish Giants Real Madrid and Barcelona dominate the starting XI - without any surprise no player from the Premier League has been included in the Starting XI for 2015 even Eden Hazard was left out;what will Zidane think now.

Barcelona has 4 players in the team,Real Madrid manage to get 3 players including Ballon D'or Contender Christiano Ronaldo,Paul Pogba from Juventus made it for the first time in his young career and Bayern Munich stars completed the line-up with Manuel Neuer in goals and David Alaba at left-back.

Shockingly Luis Suarez were left out from the Starting XI and manage only a place in the Substitutes.
Alexis Sanchez was also no where to be seen even after his outstanding performance for Arsenal and winning the Copa America with Chile.Bizarre decision by UEFA to include James Rodriguez in place of Alexis.

Manchester United Shareholders Not Happy With Van Gaal

Its seems most shareholders of Manchester United are not happy with the way Van Gaal is handling things at the club as it seems to be affecting share prices. Share prices are dropping due to the bad performance which is reflecting on the financial situation at the club. Recall that the club spent almost 300million pound in strengthening the squad for Van Gaal and with seeming very likely that the club will go without any silverware this season and unlikely to make champion league, share prices are dropping with anticipated reduced revenue and couple with the fact the club might spend big again in summer on the transfer market. Will this add to the already pilling pressure on Van Gaal to leave?

Getting a degree is no longer sufficient to secure a job

Once upon a time, the standard pathway the majority population believes in was to go to college, get the degree, then you will get a good job. Now a days, that is no longer the valid case, I believe the current meta is to have at least market average education level (higher recommended), plus decent relevant work experience in the field where you picture your career belongs. The market average education level has been increasing over time, the typical high degree 10 years ago was a bachelor degree, but now a master degree is more like it. Let's face it, what we learn from university is not all we need to do our job. Speaking from personal experience, things I learned from my education probably only constitutes 20% of what I use on my job, perhaps even less than that, everything else I had to learn on the job and on my own time. More and more organizations are tend to hire people they can use without too much training. Thus why relevant work experience during your studies is essential. Advice to current university students: If you are capable to go higher on you academic path, go for it, it is much harder to come back to study after you exit. Do get some work experience under your belt, the early the better, intern ships are great opportunities to explore the industry and learn the work space.

Hot Chocolate And The Cup

One cold evening late in December, a group of alumni who were well established in their careers, got together to visit their old professor.

After arriving at his residence, each began to boast of their individual successes, and before long old rivalries began to surface. Their only common thread seemed to be bitter complaints about the stresses each of them experienced in their workplaces and in their daily lives. The professor listened quietly, then offered his guests a cup of hot chocolate. He went to the kitchen and returned with a large container and an assortment of cups, porcelain, plastic, glass, crystal; some plain looking, some expensive, some quite exquisite, telling them to help themselves to the hot chocolate.

When all of his former students had a cup of the chocolate in hand, the professor said: "If you noticed, all the nice looking expensive cups were quickly taken up, leaving behind the plain and cheap ones. While it is normal for you to want only the best for yourselves, that is the source of your problems and stress. Be assured that the cup itself adds no quality to the hot chocolate. In most cases the cup is just more expensive and in some cases even hides what we drink. What all of you really wanted was the warm drink, not the cup, but you consciously went for the best, most attractive cup...and then you began eyeing and envying one another's cups."

"Now consider this: Life is the hot chocolate, the jobs, money and position in society are the cups. They are just tools to hold and contain Life, and the type of cup we have does not define, nor change the quality of Life we live. Sometimes, by concentrating only on the cup, we fail to enjoy the warm drink God has provided us. GOD MAKES THE DRINK, NOT THE CUPS. Enjoy your hot chocolate! And remember: The happiest people don't have the best of everything. They just make the best of everything."
